About the event

Parents, we encourage you to participate alongside your teens, but we totally understand if you get kicked out of the room halfway through. Rest assured, the content is designed to be engaging and educational for your teens, even if they choose to continue watching on their own.

We present to more than 2000,000 teenagers every year and we totally understand the challenges of keeping your teens safe online, especially when it comes to difficult and sometimes awkward topics and keeping up with tech! That’s why Safe on Social is excited to present a brand-new webinar series designed specifically for teens. Presented by Kirra Pendergast this series is recommended for ages 13-16yrs (with your discretion as it will cover high school level content and discuss adult themes).

Sexting, Sextortion, and Non-Consensual Deepfakes: What They Are and How to Stay Safe Why Your Teen Should Attend:

Online worlda offers incredible opportunities, but also comes with risks. This webinar series will equip your teen with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate these challenges safely.

What We’ll Cover:
  • Sexting: Addressing this totally cringey but crucial topic, we’ll discuss what sexting is, the risks involved, and how to make safe choices.
  • Sextortion: This serious issue will be tackled by teaching teens how to recognise the warning signs and what to do if they or a friend are targeted.
  • Non-Consensual Deepfakes and Nudify apps: We’ll explore this emerging threat and provide strategies to protect themselves.
Why Choose Safe on Social?

Our webinars are engaging, interactive, and anything but boring. We’ve thrown out the rule book to make learning about online safety impactful, relevant, and affordable. Your teens will receive practical advice they can use immediately to stay safe online.

Parents don't worry it will be recorded so you can see what was said if they ask you to leave the room and we will have the video all switched off so your teen can make sure no one will know that they are there aws they will not appear on the recording.

Parents will recieve resources you need to start conversations and also where to report things and what to do if things go wrong We will dive into some of the most pressing (and sometimes awkward) issues teens face online and what to do to stay safe and also when things go wrong.
