With more than three decades of experience in education, safeguarding, and student wellbeing, Lisa is recognised for helping schools build safer, more inclusive environments where every child has the opportunity to engage, belong, and thrive.

 

Bringing over 31 years of leadership across schools, communities, and complex education systems—including 16 years in principal-class positions Lisa specialises in safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, neuroaffirming education, disability inclusion, school engagement, and organisational reform. Their work supports schools to strengthen governance, build workforce capability, and develop sustainable systems that improve outcomes for children, families, and educators.

 

An internationally recognised safeguarding practitioner, Lisa has undertaken advanced safeguarding training through the Safeguarding Alliance (Dubai) and has worked alongside educators, government leaders, psychologists, paediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams across Australia, Italy, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. This global perspective is combined with extensive frontline experience supporting children and young people experiencing trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, disability, school refusal, and other complex challenges.

 

Throughout a career spanning classroom teaching, principal leadership, regional school improvement, and international education reform, Lisa has led whole-school wellbeing strategies, Child Safe implementation, disability inclusion reform, crisis response, workforce development, and policy design. Their expertise extends across governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, child protection, mental health systems, and critical incident management.

 

A scholarship recipient and graduate of the University of Melbourne’s Master of Education Leadership and International Policy, with a Master of Behaviour Analysis from Monash University, Lisa combines deep academic expertise with practical leadership experience. Their work is grounded in a simple belief: that safeguarding is not a policy to be implemented, but a culture to be built.

 

As part of the Safe on Social coalition of experts, Lisa is an expert educator, speaker and advisor who provides strategic guidance on safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, student engagement, disability inclusion, child wellbeing, and organisational capability, helping schools create systems that protect children while enabling them to flourish.
