You might notice some of my blog and resources that I have developed now sit behind a paywall, and I want to be transparent about why.

This work, the research, the writing, the constant monitoring of platforms and legislation  is how I spend my days. It is not funded by big tech. It is not subsidised by advertising. It is funded by you, the people who read it. I know these posts get shared widely. Media outlets pick them up. Schools drop them into newsletters. Educators pass them around staff rooms. Parents forward them to other parents and that is exactly what I want to happen! This information needs to move, and I will never complain about it reaching more people.
 

Producing work at this level takes time, expertise, and an unglamorous amount of reading through privacy policies and legislative drafts so that you don't have to. A small subscription is what makes it possible for me to keep doing this independently, without compromise, and without owing anything to the companies I write about.
